Most notably, she is known as the founder and shopkeeper of Millay Vintage, an online shop specializing in women’s vintage clothing and home goods — a tightly curated collection of wears and wares that seeks to find the balance between timely and timeless goods for the wardrobe and home. It is a job that she loves, and it’s been exciting to see the brand grow!

I describe myself more broadly as a stylist and curator, and have had the opportunity to serve as a fashion, set, and editorial stylist on various collaborations, and I’ll be officially offering these services (along with interior styling and interior design services) this year for the first time, which I’m super excited to hit the ground running with!

I love the tension between the delicate and the practical--the handsomeness of dark antique woods against ethereal, muted fabrics (with a forever weakness for lace and crochet) and softly hued botanicals. So I’m constantly drawing inspiration from and immersing myself in those very things—botanicals, vintage textiles and patterns—and meander about in antique stores. And of course I’m not immune to the bountiful beauty floating around Pinterest, Tumblr, and the too-many-to-name beautiful shelter blogs.

I think if you glance around my space and let the aesthetics marinate a bit, you could probably tease out all the components of what makes me tick: neatness and order, botanicals, prettiness, and practicality. I strive for some intersection of all those things in how I dress myself, how I decorate my home, and what I surround myself with at work and while all of those things are always in some sort of evolution, I think you can find those foundational pillars when you see my space. At the Studio in particular, though, you will likely always see some projects in progress, and so an ironing board is often out, water bottles are strewn about, vignettes of rotating products that need to be photographed clustered in groups. I just try to tidy it all up before I head home in the evenings!

[I can't live without] my planner and a cup of coffee: these two things are so critical to me getting anything and everything done on a daily basis. And if I’m lucky, a little vase of fleurs!

My hope is that people enter my work studio feeling inspired by loveliness — a loveliness that evokes a sense of tranquility, timelessness, and engenders some level of creativity. More importantly though, I hope visitors are left with a feeling that any sense of “loveliness” within my space is not just some superficial facade but a part of a larger story of self-expression, creativity, and confidence.
